Frequently asked questions on lateral entry
What options are there?
A distinction is made between two occupational groups:
- Electronics technician for wind turbines (m/f/d)
Service technician for wind turbines (m/f/d) -LATERAL ENTRY POSSIBLE- They primarily use their skills during the construction phase of a wind farm, as they are the experts when it comes to connecting switchgear, transformers or carrying out measurements, for example.
-
Service technician for wind turbines (m/f/d)
Service technicians do not have any special professional training. They are the all-rounders who apply their knowledge and skills in all situations – whether during active construction phases or the ongoing operation of a wind farm. They are adept at carrying out mechanical work or smaller tasks in the field of electrical engineering.
Do I need experience in the wind energy sector?
No, you don’t need any experience in wind energy. You will be introduced to all the knowledge and skills that are important to you during an intensive induction.
Will I have to pay for training?
No, the training courses that are necessary for your induction are 100% financed by us. A financial contribution on your part is not planned.
How does the induction process work?
Depending on your professional qualifications or experience in the wind industry, we will put together an individual induction plan. In addition to practical training in the areas of responsibility, training and instruction in the following areas takes place beforehand (and at regular intervals):
- First aid
- Working at height
- Lifting and carrying
- Fire protection
- SCC
- Electrotechnical instruction
- Switching authorization up to 36 KV
What does willingness to travel mean?
Even though the proportion of renewable energies in Germany is increasing, we do not work exclusively in Germany, but also in other European countries. Whether it’s the Northern Lights in Norway or sunsets in Sicily – you can experience a lot during your missions. Most of the travel activity takes place from Monday to Friday. Depending on the location, however, it can also be 10 days, for example, in which case we ensure that the appropriate time off in lieu is taken.
What are my earning potentials?
We believe that a job well done should be rewarded, which is why we offer you an attractive remuneration package. In addition to the regular monthly salary, we offer vacation and Christmas bonuses, a recreational allowance and monthly tax-free benefits in kind. Of course, we will reimburse you for your additional meal expenses (per diem) for your away work. We also offer additional benefits such as nursery subsidies and capital-forming benefits. We will discuss your personal gross monthly salary during our first interview.
